The Secret Life of Wedding Vows
Why You Must Write Your Own Vows
One day Seminar/Workshop Event
Last month I presented and facilitated my first
one-day seminar/workshop on writing wedding vows
here in Minnesota. It was a great success.
However . . .
There were some surprises!
Most of the people who attended this event were
single people. I had to do some adjusting to the
program to create a powerful and meaningful
experience for them.
But I learned something important and amazing.
This event, tweaked a little here and there, is
equally important and impactful whether you are:
About to be married.
Are already married.
Are in a committed relationship.
Or are single.
Because it’s about creating powerful dreams and
visions and doing that by answering the three most
important questions anyone could ever ask of
themselves. Out of those important questions and the
answers, as well as other experiential activities,
the vows are created.
If you are in a committed relationship those vows
are between two people. If you are single the vows
are between you and you.
Some of the people who were in the March event were
going through a divorce and it opened their eyes and
minds as they created a new vision for themselves.
Then they wrote what I’m calling Life Vows which is
the equivalent of vows a couple would write but in
this case is between the self and The Self.

The People Perish
I don’t remember
who wrote that but it’s true in our own lives, the
lives of a business, a country as well as a
marriage.
Too many couples pledge undying love to each other
yet in a few short years they have fallen madly out
of love with each other.
The statistics
show that almost
50% of first
marriages are over
before the
fourth year.
60% of second
marriages and
75% of third
marriages crash on the rocks!
Because . . .
They were not
clear about who they were as individuals and what
they wanted from a marriage.
They did not have
a plan to take them over the rough spots.
They did not
articulate a clear, strong, passionate vision.
For themselves.
For the marriage.
I am going to give

I Almost Gave Up On
This Material Getting
Into the Hands of the Public
I wasn’t selling
any Ebooks.
Oh, one or two
here and there. But for practical purposes no one
was buying.
I couldn’t
understand it because the program is such a fabulous
